In search of anything and everything to help make me softer, supple and more youthful looking, I tried Vaseline’s Intensive Care’s Vitalizing Gel Body Oil which can be found at Drugstore.com for the bargain basement price of $5.62 (free shipping!). I typically tend to to stay away from anything with the word “oil” in it, however the Brazilian nut and
almond oils this product allegedly contains suckered me in. Initially, I did have some concerns about being mistaken for a Hawaiian Tropic pageant contestant, but then I remembered how I looked in a bathing suit.
At first blush, this product does conger up lubed up women wrestling each other in string bikinis in front of a bunch of jeering, overweight bikers eating chicken wings. However, after a few minutes it was nicely absorbed leaving my skin feeling soft and smelling like a Polynesian buffet. My legs took on a decidedly shimmering sheen which may or may not have thrown people off the cottage cheese effect that I was also sporting. I was also told that “I smelled delicious” and even if it was from a four year old, a compliment is still a compliment. Overall, a surprisingly good impulse buy and decidedly less greasy than Mama Jenkins in Coming to America.
Rating 2 carats. I would recommend giving your self a good 5 minutes to air dry before dressing unless you are going for the Antonio Banderas look.
