Ruby and Pearl are busy professionals who are hoping there is more to life than the four walls of their offices. A whiff of perfume, the hug of a particuliarly supportive undergarment and they are transported to a world beyond meetings and the mundane, to a place of cost-conscious catwalking and sweet smelling salves that really do deliver miracles in a bottle.  Think of this site as an oasis of beauty and fashion product reviews with a daily dose of wrinkle eliminating chuckles.

Do you have a friend who found the perfect chunky necklace in the sale bin and gets rave reviews every time she wears it? Heard of that girl at the office who got a coat at the Gap that looks like it flew out of the hands of Michael Kors and into her closet? Know those old ladies with flawless skin that attribute to their smooth complexions to nightly application of some $3 cold cream? Don’t you just hate those bitches?

Well, we are fighting back. Is it possible to look great for less? Can you really accessorize that Target dress to look like it’s right off the runway? We are on the prowl for the products that will change our lives…and if we find the holy trinity of style, substance and savings, we’ll pass them on to you. Think of us as bargain pirates hunting for treasure. We love a jaunty cap and an eye patch would cut our morning eye makeup routine in half.
